Story:
Quartet stayed at body shop owner's house. Owner showed it to Dad. It was a wreck recovery. He had put in a later model flathead v8. Had  3 speed + overdrive, dual pipe straight exhaust. 
Brother once pulled all his plugs and wires when he was mad.
Chicks did not dig it, because it messed up their hair.

We had this Version of Lincoln luxury.....what could possibly be cooler than a car with power windows , power doorlocks, power steering, power brakes and doors that open like that!

1955 was the last production year for the Lincoln Capri......Ours was white, with red interior.
Mom and Dad both liked this one,so it stayed almost long enough to be apart of the family.

This Plymouth Suburban was out family wagon....very close to this color...and yes those are just about the biggest fins known to man. Exceeded only by the Cadillac of the same year. This was a car in that small category that Mom liked, so it stayed for a while.

 Dad 's lifelong love of the Lincoln line seems to have started with a Lincoln Zephyr V -12.....
That is his story not mine, but I can connect a few images to the Creswell line of Lincoln's.

Tim: The next wagon was the 1956 Ford... I am pretty sure it was 3 seater ; As I recall a trip home from vacation, a stop at the Hessel Bakery, and a boy riding in the rear facing back seat who got really sick.

The next upgrade was a 1955 Plymouth  Wagon....dark green so I remember it.This was part of the early parade....an upgrade each time....and a wagon. I do not remember if this one stayed in the family long enough to become a friend.

1954 Ford Station Wagon....which did not look as nice as this picture.
It got the same clean - up , fix- up treatment , without the hand painted look. It stayed in our driveway longer. It was sold outright as I remember  ...to make possible our next upgrade.

72 Honda 600 Sedan - White

White, repainted? About the same time as the white Grenada, because when the Grenada got repainted, we got the leftover stripes, and Dad put them on the car.

Memories:

Bill: Dad pushing the car at the top of Houseman street hill to get it up the hill in the snow.

Cousin Tom also bought one while we were living in California. We called it Isaac at first - "Laughter", and toward the end Benji - Son of my sorrow.

Nicknamed Orange Crate, had gorilla fur interior.
